Wide Body FD
Hi all... Finally my baby is out for good from the garage after going in and out for almost 2 months for a rebuild. Only left for me to fine tune the microtech after running it in. This nightmare all started when the body shop some how manage to overheat the engine (why were they fooling around with the engine in the first place god knows!!! not even a drop of water in the tank left and melted everything ) when I sent it in for a touch up on the paint and body kit for an auto show. Any way shes back and there was some request for the pictures, so here she is. Hope you all enjoy it

Hehehh... thanks for the feedback... anyways its been a while since I got the bodykit on, but if I am not mistaken it cost about USD3,000 for the whole bodykit all around inclusive of the paint job. The whole body kit was custom made by a shop down here so I cant really give a name to it (maybe aja's body kit ). Just had the engine rebuild, so making sure everything works fine before I start polishing her up, as this is the 3rd engine in the pass 2 months . The gauges are all defi (And its not on a a-pillar, hate those a-pillars, really restrict your field of vision. If you look closely they are all attached to the windscreen ) I just got the bill from the garage and have not gone to the body shop yet to make my claims (I am sure they gonna try to wriggle their way out of it though or at least minimum payment . Will be doing that sometimes next week and see how it works out. Last and not least I would have love to match the back end molding but that was the best they could do. O..well... still love it though Hmmm... think I answered most of the questions here

Now, I just noticed a potential problem that could cause you to get a 4th engine. Your stock AST. That baby looks like it's gonna blow at any time. Check the color: originally they were black. The lighter green that it turns, the closer it is to blowing. You may already know that, but it's still worth mentioning.
Just looking out for a fellow enthusiast.

Hey montego. Thanks for pointing that out to me. Are you talking about the colour of the cap or the whole ast body itself? Or a whole different thing? Havent heard of this before. But if you talking about the cap they were recently replaced when the engine change was made.
Also to an earlier question by diyman25, it took about 3 weeks to complete the whole thing along with the paint job. And to SlingShotRX7 questions the gauges that I have on the right side is defi water temp, boost gauge, fuel pressure and exhaust temp. And on the left is autometer AF meter. (more of a light show but it will give you a rough indication)
Given a choice I would rather not have all the gauges (and save the money and reduce the chances of the car getting broken into). But than again this is a rotary that we are talking about, you gonna need as many if not more gauges compared to your typical jet plane . Also it would save you more money in the long run if you can monitor your engine and avoid all those rebuilds.

No I'm talking about the plastic unit that I circled, the cap seals it. Originally it was black not green.
They are not really expensive at all.

Will look into the ast. Thx montego.
Also vrmmmpshhh if you are in the area do give me a buzz. The traffic jam here is not all that bad unless you get caught in the city center at peak hours. Temperature stays low even if I do get into traffic. Its just when I start pushing hard on the highways that it starts going up
The wheels I am using now is a 265/35r18 on the back and 225/40r18 on the front.

Widebody and only 265s for tires. Sounds like you didn't do your homework for tires. That kit = useless.
Those rims are hideous gentlemen.
the only thing you have going for you is that paint job. Props for that and the quality guages.
This guy has you beat hands down. No widebody kit, kit not molded and the polished rims make the car shine. $ to $ you paid way to much to not beat this guys car.

Sorry about the negativity, but you left yourself open for it.
