There seems to be a trend on here that when ppl post their cars they get attacked. Seems like some go out of their way to make owners feel bad for modding their cars in a way that doesnt suit them. its stupid. I for one will never post pics of my car on here, for that fact alone.

Also, just because in the US people have wide body kits to have wide rims doesnt mean its possible overseas. America has a huge aftermarket car market, everyone in Malaysia seemed to drive fwd protons so the market for wide rims is somewhat limited. Give the guy a break he drives somethign rare and exotic there. When i was in Malaysia i found car part prices, especially new, werent that cheap and combined with low wages it makes modding cars in a professional way very hard.

of course he could have bought an old ******* like this one i saw in KL and modded it. He wouldnt have spent as much.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder . I posted just to share my pride n joy. Been reading enough of this forum to know that I am gonna get some bashing . But everybody has got a right to his/her own opinion. It all comes down to weather I am happy or not with it.... and yes I am althought I would have like the back to be smoother . In terms of the tire size I would say what I have is just nice by looking at the tyre offset to the body. Any bigger and it would be jutting out and gonna cost a bomb .

Of course I could have gotten an old ******* lime vrmmmpshhh picture, and spend the same amount of money to get an 8-9sec car but that is not what I am after.

And eugenchoo it has been a long time since I went to Singapore.,give me a buzz if you are around this area

I am in KL. Yes, I got spacers on the car. Don't think that that a 18X12" gonna be functional for everyday driving including the cost of the tyres. Maybe when I get my Ferrari or Lambo . Anyway the place that I go to here specialize in rotary, I think he got a few extra engine lying around. Depends on what you are looking for. Mine cost about RM4000(USD1000) For a new rebuilt along with new OEM apex seals, gaskets and all other seals and labour. But I think theres a few in JB also.

Maybe it's jealousy since you had your body kit custom made and his is just a bunch of mass produced parts from different manufacturers that he put together. And they maybe be replicas and not originals at that.

Not that I look down on replicas but in reality it not as prestigious as having a bodykit custom made.

the only thing you have going for you is that paint job. Props for that and the quality guages.

This guy has you beat hands down. No widebody kit, kit not molded and the polished rims make the car shine. $ to $ you paid way to much to not beat this guys car.

Sorry about the negativity, but you left yourself open for it.
Mr: August 2004 with your whole 22 posts:

Dude, your being a jackass. Is that your ride that you are selling? BTW do you have any idea what those 'old' blitz rims actually weigh in at? It my understanding is that they weigh like 25lbs each. So they are not be used for comparison.

Have a little respect. Say that "it's not my cup of tea" or something. Just because you are hiding behind your computer doesn't mean that you have to be rude. Good forum ethic is that you shouldn't type anything that you wouldn't say to his face. Unless your are a complete *******, I'd doubt that you would walk up to him and say what you just typed.

It's people like this that is making the forum go to ****.

I knew I would get somthing thrown back at my face for those comments. No worries here though.

I believe it was a functional post. It appears that the guy wants to show his ride. Just letting him know where he stands. Ex: rims tires, guages, engine bay. Those all get judged, been there, done that.

Of coarse you can say it was a bit over the top of "constructive citism" But hey my bros and I tell it like it is. If one buys a shitty part we give him greif, if he's thinking of a set of ugly rims, we tell them about it.

And myself just now becoming a member in August has nothing to do with the ligitity of my posts. I've probably work on more rides than you and your dad.

And with respect to the weight of rims, the ones aja has on his car weigh just as much if not more than that old set of Blitz type 03s on that dudes pimp ride in the link I posted earlier.

The exterior on the purple car was stock form with coilover suspension.. the car was all function over form, off the line or to any given point it could take out basically everything on the road and EVERYTHING in my county and beyond.. If i wanted to build a car for just looks I would do like he has done with his, even though the looks are not good looking at all imo. My new car, everything on the car serves it own purpose minus maybe the veilside sides and rear.. Thanks for your .02

and does anyone know where you can get rear seats like Godzilla has? (how much do you think it would cost to import a set from over seas)

These seats? I thought they come standard in all FD as both of my FD had the same type of seats. Only that my old FD was red in colour instead of black.

Functional? or do you mean constructive.

Let him know where he stands??? You linked another ride and you told aja that "this other guy has him beaten hands down", and also you said "$ to $ you paid way to much to not beat this guys'. WTF dude, what's up with that? aja never claimed that his ride was the best. Why are pulling some other ride to directly compare the two?

If you read the original post, he states that people have been inquiring about his car so he made a thread about it.

That's cool and all. But you went way beyond saying that you didn't like it.

It has everything to do with it. This isn't the SRT/honda/OTwhatever forums where people just talk **** just because. But lately it's starting to be because of people like you.

You are a NEW member and you come in here bashing on someone's ride, and it wasn't constructive either. You stated your opinion as if it was fact, but in fact it's just your opinion.

lol! So you think that gives you the right to bash on someone's ride for no apparent reason.

Except that aja was not comparing his to anything else, you were.

If you are going to break out with the 'ultimate' ride make sure that everything is perfect so no one can say ****. Which in this case you failed to do that, but it just goes to show that your criticism is based on your opinion and not fact.

Fast or not, the purple car is was still horrendous looking. Your new one is better but some (not me) would still say that: you f'ed up the lines, Why you did you put seats in the back... Do you know any midgets or something?, your hood doesn't match so paint it, the offset on your rear wheels needs to be lower, that wing is huge: a 747 just called and want it's wing back, blah, blah. See what I mean?

My point was that you own and have owned extreme looking FDs and I know that people have given you **** before. So I would think that you would be more tactful and less judgemental on other people's cars. For you to turn around and say to a fellow member "that is the absolutly ugliest fd i have ever seen in my life" is just dumb. No it's assenine especially when you have owned a purple FD.

BTW- Your welcome for my $0.02.

Not in the US. No FD made for the US came with backseats. I don't know why people want to add the useless things to a sports car, they should have bought an SUV instead.

The back seats actually come to some good use for us here. It makes the car a 2+2 which will reduce the insurance charges by 25% compared to a 2 seater. Call it a technicality but thats still 25% less that I got to pay for insurance . Plus my kids fits nicely into those seats so I still can take them for a ride when the Mrs. is sitting on the passenger seats . However if it comes standard as a 2 seater (as in the US version!!!) I dont think its worth the money to get those seats (unless you can get discounts on your insurance )

not a bad looking wide-body, but the grille makes it look alot like a dodge--with the crosshairs and all. people might mistake it for a viper, and what a disaster that would be (i mean really, who wants a viper when they can have a rex?). that fact withstanding, congrats on the clean, and might i add relatively cheap, one-off widebody.

It doesn't change anything here since it wasn't produced that way.

Also, you can add the image line of code you keep putting in your posts to a signatrue so you don't have to keep putting it in yourself.

Go to the User/CP and choose "Edit Signature" on the left.

The beauty of it there is no dodge (especially viper's) for that matter in this country. So I am more or less safe from a case of mistaken identity . And thanks for the tips diablone. What can I say I am a forum newbie . Well that is one more thing that I learn today. Maybe while I add in the line in the signature I'll add all my spec for the engine , etc and open my self to more "constructive criticism"
