Sorry to hear brian.

Thats why i wont EVER daily drive my FD. Even if i have the most perfect running, perfect everything FD. So this can happen? O yeah thats good, you spend all your money, all your time, sweat and tears into this car, then something like this happens. ITs not worth it. Thats why i find it rather unusual that people really talk high about daily driving their FD. Yes its great, you're enjoying the car, thats good but to a certain point. These are one of the points as to why i wouldnt.

Back like 2 summers ago when i used to take my FD to work about 4 times a week. I always parked at the ENDof the lot, but since my job lot is small, i can still see it from the window of my job so i can check on it every once in a while. Occassionally, i would look outside and find a HUGE *** truck, E-350 or some **** park RIGHT next to my car. The funny thing is when i park, i park towards the guardrail so theres more space to the right of the car, im already over the left yellow line, next to the guardrail. But big *** trucks i guess follow my path and do the same so they're still close to me. Well lets just say i had alot of small nicks and dents that summer from trucks and other cars that wanted to park right next to me.

And on another note. The FD is the biggest sausage magnet ever. Back when i had my audi TT, i had more girl reactions the first week than the entire ownership (4 years) of my FD.

Where does your logic come from dude?

Its definitely not from your brain.

Daily driving has ALOT to do with incidents like this. Its called CHANCES.

More you drive it, the more chance of these things happening?? Does that ring your bell now?

Point well taken, you lessen your chances by not driving all the time, but the fact is that it can STILL happen the one and only time you drive it. NAh MEAN!!

at least, theres a bright side of view, if you had no alarm that went off, that guy would have probably left you there with the damage.

it can happen in your garage, it can happen in ur college, it can happen everywhere.

i used to take my FD to college in the summer too because it was new to me at the time. i want to master the car as a driver so practice makes perfect as we all know. either way i would park where it was empty but viewable from a window seat in the classroom.

what i do now with some success so far if i take the car places with me is park next to other imports that look well kept (if any). you can bet those guys dont want to scratch their ride up, it was a friendly tip given to me by a friend who has an impreza STi. parking in a solitary place imo draws attention to the car, especially one that is immaculate like ours in design.

also you guys seem to have some bad luck with the ladies, ive had several women already compliment my car "oh its so cute!" "hey your car is so sexy" "can you take me for a ride sometime?" and the phrase i consider a mortal sin "so can i drive?" ive had fewer male strangers approach me with compliments/questions.

if i do get attention from other guys its usually in the form of mad dog stares at the gas station (i had a guy parked next to me start peeling out in place glaring at me before taking off....wow), mad dog glares at the stop light...basically alot of mad *******. mostly its negative attention...most of the positive comes from women or my pals whom i havent shown the car to yet. so i guess it can be considered a sausage magnet however ive had both genders react to my FD.

What fraternity are you in? Im in Delta Sigma Phi up here at Drexel.

yea i dont know what you are talking about the fd being a sausage magnet. Guys most of the time give dirty looks, or just admire without saying anything. But a lot of girls have come up to me and asked for rides or just stare

F'kin dumbasses with big cars FTMFL

that really blows man. I'm just glad it was the fixable door rather than the rear fender... could've been worse...

i have to street park my car for work sometimes, every now and then i find new bumper scratches front and rear from people bumping the car "to know they've backed up too far"....

This is why I have a clifford on mine......if a bird ***** on it,the alarm goes off,and Im out the door like a shot

Ive still had the sneaky people who live on the same street as me bump and scrape off the paint on the rear fender, and then not have the decency to tell me Also malicious damage in car-parks etc.

Just a down-side to having a nice car....oh yeah mines a daily driver too.
