Angry Why you shouldnt bring your fd to college...

Was parked parallel to a street pretty far away from other cars where I was inside my fraternity eating dinner and my alarm went off. Went outside and found a f150 backed up into my door. His car had NO damage but my door is extensively damaged.

Took it to the body shop and they are ordering a new door shell, they are also going to paint the entire side of the car to hopefully color match the paint.

Just another lesson learned, no matter how safe you think you are with your car their is always that chance of someone hitting you.

On the bright side his insurance company is paying for everything including a rental car, but I already miss the FD. This year has been absolute hell for this car, blew an engine, turbos, transmission and now this.

sorry that happened... unfortunately it could have happened anywhere.

My car was rear ended while it was parked downtown, he took off before I could catch him (long story). He was also in an f150. About a month before that I was rear ended by some dude in a GMC truck... about about six months later some lady at work hit my car as well.. She was in an older f-150 with NO INSURANCE.

Guys, big trucks are our biggest enemies. They seem to have a real hard time in judging where the FD is, since it so close to the ground.

Too true ^^^. My 3000gt was hit in my work parking lot by a guy in a large SUV. His own words "I didn't think I hit it that hard." Friggen sucks.

At least he didn't ram it and total the car, or even do damage to more of the car. Still sucks.

That's why where I park at school, it is near impossible for a car to back up into me.

Thanks for the support guys. What sucks even more is that it just got painted 4 months ago

On the bright side I am going to have them weld in the antenna hole that the previous shop forgot to do.

At least it was only the door, making it a much easier fix... plus the other guy's insurance is covering everything, which is nice. I blame it on our cars being so small!! jk

Yeah, I was lucky when I had my FD at school. I have a few chips on my front bumper from someone weed wacking the grass right in front of my car, but other than that no damage.

And guys, please do not be an ******* and take up 2 or more spaces when you park. Not only are you wasting parking space, but you are probably motivating people to vandalize your car. Leave that crap to the ricers. When I see someone parked like that I like to pull in as close as I can to their driver's door. hehe

I agree, and usually schools are **** about that and cite you for it, costing money. Unless its all the way in the back of the parking spot AND people don't need the spaces, then please don't do it.

That's a serious bummer.

At least it's the door and not the unibody!

sure is a sausage magnet, i never took my 7 with me to college, then some jackass backed into me downtown and took off. It's all about luck, nobody's ever hit any of the cars i use as a dd but the fd gets backed into in a parking spot. sucks
