I feel your pain. I had a similar incident happened to me a few years back when I used to have an E36 M3. I parked across the road from the dorm, and I witnessed this lady backed her SUV straight into my door. I was furious. Lessoned learned there..

lol yeah females generally aren't attracted to FD's, especially when they are modified, loud, smelly, and uncomfortable.

Now my friend's new Maserati... that thing is a chick magnet!

My idiot friend backed into my rear quarter panel with his VR4 in his own driveway. Nothing happened to his 3000GT. I had to pay for that one. He's no longer my friend.

I also agree with not taking up more than one spot. Just cause you drive a special car doesn't make you special. One of these days someone will show you how special they think you are. Only you wont find it that ammusing.

THe body of our FD's have the consistency of a coke can. Hence the common elbow dents, deep door dings, and massive damage from seemingly small accidents.

But that could have happened anywhere. taller vehicles are not the enemy. it is drivers that have no idea what they are really doing behind a wheel, and don't know how to hang up their damn phone when they put the keys in the ignition.

The general life lesson is: Don't actually drive a vehicle you care about. :P

Do you have aftermarket fenders or is the light angle making them look like they have edge in them?

Good luck getting it fixed. I always try and park mine where it won't get hurt. Right now its parked up on jackstands....

Off topic note: I saw you driving down SW 34th Street towards SW Archer Road around SW 20th Ave last weekend or the weekend before that while visiting the girlfriend. Looked good. We'll have to meet up once mine is finished.

With friends like that, who needs enemies?

As for taking multiple parking spots...I was driving through the airport parking at SEATAC and noticed a nice new silver Escalade taking up multiple spots. After driving around for like 10 minutes, along with several other people, I witnessed a guy get out of his car walk up to the Escalade and cave in the entire drivers side door with his size 12. I laughed my *** off. Serves 'em right for being so inconsiderate...and even if it happens to an FD you'll get no sympathy from me. One car = one parking spot. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!

Everyone I park next to in my lot loves my FD, they're always very careful when they open their doors, back up, etc..

usually you can actually come out ahead on insurance claims, and pocket some money. i had all kinds of people blindly back into my car or hit it just enough to do some damage but nothing that a new fender and some paint couldnt fix. i probably had a good 6 or more claims agains other ppls insurance a construction company, even against the city who dropped a fuse from a power transformer on my windshield. out of all the claims i got over $16000 and probably was only 3k in damage by doing alot of the work myself and shopping around for parts. I welcome anyone with insurance to bang my car up.

this just happened to me but at my appartment. i just installed my new bumper and had it painted and had it parked under a cover and didnt even know that it had been hit. they actually left a number but i threw it away! OMG! luckily they also left their number with my neighbor and they let me know. handled the situation without insurance so i cashed in. good ending i guess.

Damn, sorry to hear that that had to happen to you. I hope it doesn't happen to me because I'm going to be at UF as well in the fall and I should have an FD then.

And people wonder why they have to pay so much for insurance. You don't honestly think the insurance comapny foot the bill for this do you? If so, I've got a bridge I'd like to show you...

that's a good way to get your car keyed. I would advise you not do that.

I wouldn't ever touch another's car...let alone key it... but i know there's lots of people that do that to cars when they take up more than 1 space. TRUST ME.

Wow, it looks like you were very lucky with the damage. Only the door and mirror took any hit.

You could fix that for the price of a used door - even with paint that could be less than $500 all said and done.

Same thing happened to me, except my car was hit by an ambulance... I was compensated VERY well by the city.

I go to college in center city Philadelphia now and there was no way i was going to bring the FD there to deal with shitty roads, street parking, and snow! So unfortunately it has been sitting in a garage back home in FL for the past 3 years :-(

What fraternity are you in? Im in Delta Sigma Phi up here at Drexel.
