Talking Why I Love JB-Weld....

Everyone with an FD knows how the interior falls apart and is extremely expensive to replace.

A couple weeks ago, a buddy of mine ripped the passenger "Oh-****" bar from the door and tore the primary tab completely off. The entire assembly is over $300 from Malloy and much more from a local stealership.

Enter the Dremel, some aluminum sheeting, and JB-Weld.

The handle is now holding firm and feels better than when I got the car. Plus the total cost was about $3 worth of epoxy and a small tab of aluminum.

Here are the pics of the repair:

I had to do the same thing, but I used plastic weld epoxy. I bet your JB weld job is superior though... nice work and ingenious use of JB weld!

And for those of you who haven't done this, it's a good idea to do it if you ever have your passenger door panel off. Reinforcement with more epoxy will just save you from more work in the long run.

You can't see it in the picture, but the aluminum is behind the jb weld and I used it as a guide for the epoxy and so it wouldn't adhere to the surface I let it dry on. I'm going to post more pics of the repair to the Driver Side door and glove box as well.

The type is "JB Weld" ... lol
You can get it at any auto parts or hardware store.

I repaired the tab in the driver's side pocket, the glove box, and a cracked center armrest too. The car feels soooooo much nicer with every plastic panel securely fastened. Plus the stereo sounds better without the rattles.
