i bought my car with the rear relay mod done with walbro 450 pump. few days ago i tried to start the car and it wouldn't run. after some diagnosis, found out the rear relay went bad. looks like one of the prong melted. so i replace with a new relay and the car runs fine. after driving the car around for a bit, i check the relay and it was really hot. i put temp gun on the relay and it was reading 155*. should it be that hot?

Probably not. You are either drawing too much current through that relay and it can't handle the amperage or you have an electrical connection to the relay that is less than ideal and creating resistance.

I wouldn't use a parts store relay either, I'd look around online and find a high quality relay that can do 30+ amps no problem.
