Why do some FD's have mud flaps while others don't

I know I'm posting a lot of Q's, but I noticed that some FD's have mudflaps on the front and rear, while others don't. They look stock, unfortunately I didn't get the priviledge of having them. Was that only on the R1's or something.

they were an option at the dealership. they weren't model specific as far as i know.
i'm pretty sure you can still order them and have them put on your car.

New members to the forum should not start a bunch of new threads. The experienced members will become annoyed with you, and not help you when you really need it. They are the ones you will want help from when you have a real problem.

It's no biggy, Adams got a point. I'm not trying to be a smart a$$. I probably shouldn't post too many threads at once, otherwise there would be too many posts and then people will probably look at me like a nusence.

Here's a link that should help you out

http://www.mazdastuff.com/directory.cfm?CategoryID=81

If your car is still painted the stock color you can order them already painted.

Good luck and welcome aboard!

That's correct. The mud flaps were an option, and you can buy them from the dealer for ~$140/set, front and rear.

Some times I like them, sometimes I think they mess up the lines. Anyway you look at it, the FD is still an awesome looking car.

Its not my fault that you have so little to say to help people. Actually, I should be thanking you for not posting too much.

Thank you for not posting too much

I like the mud flaps in the rear. If you look at how low the rocker panel is in front of the rear tire, and then look at how high the fender is behind the rear tire, there is a big difference. The mud flaps hide some of that and make it flow a little better.

Place me in the group that likes them. I ordered a set of 4 and installed them. They come in the color of the car already, you just place the order and the last letters of the code indicated the color of the car, like mine ended in 'MB' for Montego Blue.
