I'm not positive, but I think DamonB might know the owner. You might PM him.

Damien has a Yellow FD (and a MB), DamonB has a MB FD, but its not his car. IIRC, DamonB was the co-driver for a highly competitive AutoX FD which I thought was a 3-rotor (which made be think he might know the owner of this car).

II'm almost positive it’s this car

http://www.pbase.com/rx7cat/sm2_rx7

These pics are pretty old; I saw the car at the 05’ rotary revolution. I remember them saying somewhere that they retired the car when the Z06's came out and were going to throw a three rotor in it and compete again.

It’s a husband and wife team, the wife drives the car (I think). Their member name is Rx7cat16

That looks like Erik Strelniek's car. Came in 2nd this year in SM2 @ Nationals....right behind Andy Mckee's 13B FD.

There is a video of that car at the SOLO2 Nationals somewhere on the board. It is a husband/wife team, and the wife drives. I'll see if I can find it.

Nice car. No heat shielding around the downpipe to protect that LIM?

Well, at least I knew that you would know the owner.

I had Tito at Alamo Rotary put the Petit Banzai intercooler and radiator in the car, and I think he just made that piece himself.

And actually, this is her car she had before we were married. She always wanted a 20B for it, and luckily a class was created that allows for us to race it again. She will be running it in 2007, as I just got it done at the end of the year, and she wanted to race our MINI S for the remainder of this year, and wait until I have all the tuning and bugs worked out.

You are right, that still needs to be done. We got the exhaust done the night before we left for the Pro Solo/Solo 2 Nationals, so not enough time to do the heat shielding. Luckily the intake is ceramic coated inside and out, so it has a little bit of protection. The polished look is actually the coating that Rotorsports did for us. Very nice work!
