Breaking up at 4500 and WOT

I took in my car to have it painted about three weeks ago and it ran fine. the people at the shop started it to move it out of the bay and it was fine. when they went to start it back up to move it back in it wouldn't start. I down there to see what was up and it seemed flooded so i pulled the plugs and turned it over a bit with the fuel pump fuse removed. I put everything back inorder and it started up and smoked for a bit until all the fuel was cleared out. now the car sputters/ breaks up at 4500 but it will only get there if you rev it up slowly. It will also start to sputter if you open the throttle too much too qucikly. I couldn't take it anywhere other then around the building because the bumper is still off of it and its not completely together but im supposed to get it back tomorrow night. But when i was taking it wround the building it would fall on its face whenever i gave it any good amount of gas. one of the guys at the shop had pulled one of the plug wires and im afraid he may have gotten some mixed up but im not sure if he did or not. any ideas?

wires mixed, coil messed up, plugs could simply be toasted from the flooding...put new plugs in first double check the wires then try

Put new plugs in. That should clear it up. It did for me anyway.

Reset the ECU and try it again. If its still happening, pull the ECU codes.
