mostly delusional people, seeing a lot of $50k+ prices lately, if they can get that then $40k+ isn't unreasonable for a clean FC. The real question is, are they selling? Most FD guys will argue the rarity isn't nearly the same, not really understanding the FC is older and so many were destroyed by the drift fad that they are almost equally as rare now for a nice clean TII. In fact i see less clean FCs for sale than FDs these days, you can trip over rotted out broken FC shells all day long though.

There's no real profit in owning these cars, i've put far more into my car than i will ever get back in resale and that is doing all the work myself. You buy a car to enjoy it and that was what i did.

Agree. Seeing for sale posts with people saying "over X amount invested" disrupts my atoms... what even is that statement and why is the word "invested" being used in correlation with a modified car? Delusional is absolutely the correct word without a doubt. Imagine buying mishimoto oil coolers and thinking you're investing money by doing so. It's kills me lol

Let's assume that as a constant.

Long term owner here. The only "profit" I'm ever going to take its from the original purchase price, not counting maintenance and upgrades lol.

I have owned my FD for almost 10 years and have thought about selling it several times because I rarely drive it. I might have driven the car 1000km in the last two years and don’t like seeing it sit in my garage for months on end.

Everytime that I post the car on Marketplace, I am inundated with time wasters. I usually get fed up with this after a few days and take the ad down.

So perhaps time wasters are serving a function to keep supply lower?

I see more cars being listing in here, perhaps in frustration of the disruption of the traditional ways to sell (i.e. want ads?)
