I will suggest 2 places. First is Banzai-Racing who built my motor. They have good prices. They can be found under that forum name and it's their website as well. My other suggestion is the forum member djseven of rotaryrebuildstore.com. There are others as well but these are 2 great places to begin your search. You probably won't find a better price then either of them. Their basic rebuilds start at great prices plus you can tell them what you are looking to get out of it and they will lead you in the right direction. When dealing with both I've been given great advice to help me. I never felt like they were "just trying to make a sale". Hope this helps. Plus there is a guy selling a built pineapple racing built fresh motor in the 3rd gen parts section if you don't mind shelling out $4000.

If I were you, I would look for someone as close as possible to do the rebuild. Check out Ihor (IR Performance) or KDR.

+1 for this, I've been to some of the other shops mentioned in this thread, and nobody warranties their work more than mono4lamar. Everything is always done right the first time, and when I'm not happy with something, he's even driven to my house to fix something free of charge. Can't say enough good things about this guy!

I would recommend Lance (mono4lamar) or Dave at KDR. I've dealt with both of these guys personally, and they are both very reputable, upstanding people to deal with.

Both are honest and do excellent work from what I've seen first hand.

My car's actually at KDR right now getting built. Blew 2 apex seals out of the rear housing...

Interesting. Which shops have you been to? And are you implying that the shops mentioned in this thread don't offer warranties?

If it was done right the "first time", why did he have to drive to your house to fix something?

Signed warranties are provided with ALL of our engine builds.

Ive got a short block out of my fd I am selling as I am going with an LS. It was rebuilt just under 10k ago by Rotary Performance. 3mm, large street port, great compression, vac, etc...Ran it with a apexi RX-6 single on a steve kan tune. Has been a wonderful motor for me. PM me if your interested in not having to wait till the end of summer to get your motor back from a rebuild shop.

We warranty all our work for 1 year/12k miles. If you want us to do the work, I will fit you in somewhere. I can vouch for Dave at KDR. I have gone to him many years ago when I was first learning about these cars. No personal experience about Banzai but I have heard good things.

^ + 1 for IRP.
I would recommend them for a rebuild.
I've went to them for everything else and never had a problem.

You ever make a modification that you decided afterwards you didn't like? I have, and when I don't like it, it's been changed back. Nice try

And it IS interesting, but I'm not going to publicly call out any shops.

You already have. I know that you have not been to our shop, that only leaves a few left that have been mentioned in this thread.

You make statements but do not want to back them up with any details, that is not fair to the shops. You essentially bring into question each shop's reputation with exception to the individual you are trying to promote. So basically you have "publicly called out" every shop in here. You might just want to clarify what and who you are talking about.
