Angry Who hits their head...

on the corner of the hood right here EVERY time you work on your car? I do every time and I just want to hack it off with an axe.

I always take the hoods off when i work under there. Mostly so I don't look like a 95 year old hobbit afterwards!! Less strain on the back when it is off IMO.

That's never happened to me. BUT,......I hit my head every single monkey ******* time I place the car on jack stands. I always manage to hit my head on the jack stands as I'm maneuvering under the car. Bumping your (my) head on a solid steel stationary piece of equipment hurts like a *****!! And I do it every single monkey ******* time. NEVER FAILS.

Damn, I'm like 6'3" but I've only hit the hood once or twice. Maybe I just haven't worked on it enough, but over three years I've spent a fair amount of time hobbled over it (and other FDs). Perhaps its just dumb luck cuz I hit my head on everything else on this planet. Josh

That is what I do, I always hit the lever for lowering the stands. Pisses me off and I never remember to put them in the opposite direction the next time either.
I cant say that I have ever hit my head on that corner of the hood though.

I only hit my head on 2-post hydraulic auto lifts. Right on the ramp where you drive onto, that sharp edge... it left a mark for a week or two.
