Who has removed their power steering?

Anyone removed their power steering?? How is it as a daily driver car? How stiff does it get??

I took the power steering pump out several years ago. It increases the effort needed to steer by 10 times(my guess). For the first hour or so, I regretted having it removed because it took so much muscle to steer. However, like everythingelse in life, one gets used to it pretty quickly.

There is some concern about the steering mechanism not being able to handle the force without the power boost, though.

I have my PS/AC belt off for now, and have had it off for the past 5 months or so. I like it a lot better, but it is kinda of a pain in the butt when in parking lots. Anything under about 3 or 4 MPH and its really hard to steer, but most of the time its great.
