Who has the most miles on the FD?

I think im probably in the top 5. I have 173,000 on my 94. Still have original tranny (although it needs rebuilt in the next 4 months or so).
My secondary turbo is the OEM also (primary turbo ate an apex seal).

I think I have replaced everything else, lol.

That is very impressive, how long have you owned the car?

Sorry, I just don't believe it. Are you sure? Have you checked the engine number?

194,000 on the original engine? Are you sure it wasn't replaced before you bought it? If it is true then I am amazed!!!!

I believe the turbos lasted 190+K miles. My primary turbo was taken out from an apex seal at 162K or so. My secondary turbo is still the original and just now has started leaking a minor amount of oil (172K) but is still fine.

I have a hard time buying the engine story though.

This thread is about miles on the FD (chassis). I want to see where I stand!

of course now that I think of it, while the turbos can last that long, there is no way in hell the vaccuum hoses will.

I almost 99.99% sure it is the stock motor, if you give me a website or phone number to check the engine number or whatever i will.

You need to call a Mazda dealership, give them your VIN number, and they can cross reference your engine number. The engine number is stamped on the front cover underneath the alternator (which must be removed to see it).

180k on chassis, 8k on mazda reman. chassis is still really tight. Exterior is immaculate(9 out of 10), Typical light wear on drivers seat.

I don't know how you guys are calculating this but I have had two FD's. Bought the first one new from a dealer. Ran that to 134,000 miles before being taken out by a drunken bimbo. On my current FD, I have put 72,000 miles on the chassis which already had 68,000 at the time of purchase. That makes 206,000 miles of FD motoring. In all, I have gone through three motors, two sets of turbos, and about 6 sets of tires.

There's a guy in my area who's got a black 3rd gen with 230k on his car, but he's not running stock turbos, and he's on his 5th motor. =P

BTW, the plates read "BATMAN'S". Is this the Batman you guys are talking about? I met him in August, and he had about 230k miles on his car. Daily driven, 400hp...
