Who dd's there fd
I drive mine every day to school, then after school for fun. I have a single turbo, and daily driving it isn't that great. When I get up in the morning I would rather drive a smoothe quiet car. But while I am sitting in class I anticipate getting out of class and tearin **** up.

I did it for about 4 years, including countless trips from New York to Virginia Beach. Drove from New York to Houston and then daily drove for another 2.5 years. It then gave up the ghost, hopefully to be resurrected next summer.
I dont. And right now i dont even weekend my FD cause its been down since feb lol.
I always assumed the less you drive it, the less problems it has.
I think its the other way around. If you make your car a garage queen, more problems occur.
So when my car is back on the road, im driving it as much as possible.

FD's don't like to sit. They have a need to burn rubber. Keep them happy.
I drive my FD for everything except work since well it's like 2 miles away and waitiing for the FD to warm up is kind of silly just for work. Anyways all the problems that my FD has was caused by me so yeah they are reliable as long as people like me don't touch them while the negative battery cable is intact...don't ask.

One should not speak of such things, lest the Rotary Gods smite thee.
Seriously....there are about 6 dozen threads over the years where someone is crowing about how their FD is just running SO good and is their daily driver and they can't understand why some people think they are fragile and BOOM! Their car blows an engine.

I daily drove mine for about 6 years straight until my first problem. The car decided it was time for an exhaust upgrade and dropped the stock muffler on the street while I was driving. The summer of 05 it blew out the LIM gasket and let the exhaust that is routed up to the EGR valve leak and I've been slow fixing it. I plan to have it back on the road before winter.
wow... this made me smile... alot of you dd your fd's without a problem. Sweet this is making me more confident about buying a fd... although i think i mite buy a rust bucket just in case..

DD since I drove it off the lot in 1993! Down for a new engine at 66k (due to AST/overheat/seal issue). Other than that never missed a beat with regular maintenance, hose job, check valves, pillow bushings, etc.. . .all the usual things you need to stay up with/ahead on the RX)
