White smoke at high revs. Why?

Hi guys! All started last saturday when i went for a ride and after i took some fuel, i noticed that at high revs (with the car on standstill), above 6000, the car began to smoke(white smoke).

At idle the car works perfectly but if i rev it above 5500 or 6000 it start to smoke. Could this be a problem related to bad fuel? Or a bad turbo seal? Or something worse?

I would greatly appreciate any help! Thanks in advance!

From that short description, I would suggest its oil & turbo related. If it was fuel, I would imagine the problem would exist no matter what rpm the car is at.

Hi guys! Thanks for your response! If its a turbo oil leak, would this be possible to fix?

P.s The turbos are both spooling normally. Does this make sense?

If i hold on 6000revs - no smoke but if i press and release again the gas paddle (between 5000 to 6500) it starts to puff white smoke

You can build about 3-4 PSI with the car not moving (i.e. just revving it in neutral).

Hi guys! First of all thanks for your response. Yesterday, I went for a gas refill...guess what......no smoke at all at no point!! I am still wondering what it was. I'm guessing it was bad fuel. I never took fuel from that station before and i would never again. Should i replace anything to put my mind at rest? The fuel filter maybe? Spark plugs? i don't know.

If everything is running fine now, why would you replace or change anything? Just drive the car.

a little white smoke at high RPMs shouldn't concern you anyway.. FD's, FC's, and RX-8's all seem to burn a little oil at high revs.
