Unhappy White smoke?

whats going fellas,
Need help on my newest problem!!!! Everytime my car gets cold, like when it doesn't move over night, and i turn it on in the morning there is white smoke coming from my engine. I am thinking that one of my hoses is pinched or cracked. the area that the smoke is coming out of is just underneath the y-pipe and crossover tube, underneath the manifold. now the way that it smokes is in time spurts. for example everycouple of seconds there is a siss type of sound. i'm also thinking if it is a hose one of the coolant hoses because it is white smoke. If any of you guys can help me out or have any suggestions please post!!! This car is killing me!

White smoke = coolant burning

Try to issolate where it's coming from and fix it ASAP.

Ah, if it's really coming from that area, you should check the coolant lines that go to and from the turbos. It's gonna require removal of the ic pipes, the crossover, etc...

white smoke can either be oil or coolant. definitely worth of checking the coolant hose and the turbo oil lines... since u said its around the Y-pipe or manifold.

Which manifold are you talking about? LIM?

If it goes sssss then it is coolant. Worst case scenario - you loose your car because the coolant catches fire. Fix it fast - don't drive it, fix it.

Why am I so sensitive to this? My car has a replacement engine and turbos because the coolant fix was not done in time. At 20,000 km the turbo hose burst and the resulting fire destroyed the engine and turbos. I didn't own it at that time. I'm told it was done on warranty.

Cihuuy, its not actually coming from the manifold, but around the area in front of the manifold inbetween the crossover pipe, and definititly underneath the y pipe.

That's almost for sure the turbo coolant lines. If you want to do a quick check, remove the undertray and look for green gunk underneath the turbos.

ok guys, my car has been in house garage for a week, i will finally have time to work on it this week, i've been doing a little research and i am thinking it might not be a coolant leak, i emailed scott from Rx7turboturbo.com and he told me "It is not a coolant hose and is most likelysomething in the exhaust which heats up and "seals"whatever is leaking. There are coolant and oil hosesin that area, but both are under pressure so it
wouldn't be a time issue, they would leak all the time
so it doesn't sound like one of those". thats makes alot of sence, however i am still hard time figuring out what i should start working on first with this problem. any suggestions
