There is not a receptical for spade connector that I know of. You find the wires to check and push a sharp stright pin in to the wire ,then attach the meter to the pin. If you have the Power FC then you can adjust with that or if you have the PMS from PFS purple box you can adjust with that .

well, if you look at this link:
http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/TPS_adjustment.html

part way down it says:

*****************
The connector on the engine has three sockets, one for each spade connector, arranged sorta like this:

+---------+
| ---- |
| | |
| | |
| | |
| ---- |
+---------+

The two sockets to the right of this sketch, the ones shown horizontal and parallel to each other, each get a 1/4" connector with one wire.

The one socket to the left of this sketch, shown vertical, gets the 1/4" connector with two wires.

**************8

so what connector on the engine are they reffering too?

the plug connector is for FC, and you can adjust the TPS on those cars with the two light method, and turning the screw. But, FDs dont have this connector, and to adjust the tps, you loosten up 2 small screws on either side of it and rotate it in the position you need. I have used the safety pin method of checking and adjsting the TPS in myFd, and it worked. I cant remember where I got it, but, you ground the multimeter, and then you stick the + into 2 of the 4 wires, one for narrow rangew and one for full rnage. Can anyone hook him up with a link? hope this helps...
