Oh God your friend did this?! Another reason why I don't let people drive my 7...well only a select few anyway. Are you going to upgrade the body while you are getting things repaired?

so sorry to see that...ugh..

Yup, I let him drive it, 40 seconds later it was wrecked. What's worse was that I was in the car when it happened. For some reason he decided to throw the rear end out around a corner, lost it, and slid into a pole. I'm not going to upgrade the body, because I'm really not a fan of body kits. I wouldn't mind the 99 spec front fascia, but it's pretty pricey. On the plus side, the whole car is getting painted.

Well suffice it to say that he is paying for it and feels terrible about the accident.

No, I bought it from a private owner. It's hard to evaluate the car, it's been giving me challenge after challenge. First, I replaced the turbos that I knew were bad, then it woudn't pass emissions, then it got wrecked. I've had it 2 months and I've not really had a chance to enjoy it.

Also, the clutch is slipping now, so when I get it back fromt he body shop I will be pulling the motor and tranny, replacing the clutch, regasketing the engine to rid it of oil leaks, ripping out the rat's nest, and going non-sequential.

My work has just begun, but at least it looks pretty.

That hit is SO light. He either hit something soft or was only going 5mph or less.

We were scrubbing speed the entire time that we were sliding sideways. The curb probably took some speed off as well. Lastly, we slid into a support pole for a chain link fence which gave quite a bit. The damage isn't extensive, just expensive.

Sounds like you are going to basically tear her down and rebuild her then...

Good Luck Todd. Keep us up to date !

They are yokahoma paradas. Those wheels and tires are as good as gone, they were on the car when I bought it. I just want to get some stock wheels with 245-45-16s all the way around.

Thumbs up

Yeah I was just going to say something about the wheels, they look really narrow. Glad you're going back to stock, and good luck with the buildup!

The front fascia, bumper, headlight assy, marker light, and oil coole are all being replaced. The hood and the fender are being straightened.

I totally understand your situation bro my car got wrecked and I"m in the progress of saving money for the repair. The only worse part is my friend's friend wrecked while driving it without my permission and you know what else to top it off? He isn't paying for any of the damage! After I get it fixed if any of the other 7 enthusiest would like to help me kick his *** I would be happy and my 7s soul will be at ease.

how about you swat get a lawyer and police report and make him pay for the damages. that usually works better than "beating his ***"

i assume that it is on the frame rack for them to set up and measure the unibody?make sure they do ,and not just pull that baffle and upper tie bar on the radiator supptort back out.cause it could have shifted the front around !tell em if nothing else to "cross it up"they should know what u r talkin bout!
