Where to put the Bov

ok whell i just got the greddy 2pc and i also have an HKS bov which im debating where to put on the pipe from the elbow to the IC, i dont want it on the elbow itself so if anyone has pics of where there bov are mounted to give me some ideas..

I've heard you're supposed to put it as close to the throttle bodies as possible, so as to better prevent surging.

i know the closer the better but i prefere not have it on the TB.. just before is fine but i would like to see some pics posted of them

mine is in a pretty common place....on the elbow itself right underneath the strut bar. if you cannot install in on the elbow install it at the location of cantgostriaght

Mine might be hard to see, but it's on the IC pipe next to the battery. The FD has many different set ups that works. Maybe you could post a pic of your engine bay and we could give you ideas based off your set up.

and what's the effect on the engine with the BOV installed?

What air hose...are you talking about the vacuum line that runs from the BOV to UIM. You need that so that the BOV knows when to release backflow.

You need a BOV because it removes compresser surge. When the throttle plates close, all of the excess air needs to go somewhere. Without the BOV, the air travels backwards into the turbo compressor. This is BAD!

didn't know it was so bad. why isn't there a stock bov then?
