where hose goes from intake?

I feel very stupid, just to get that out of the way.

Where does the hose on the driver side of the stock air box go to? Can I connect it without taking the air box out and is it "Needed, needed".

I just finished the cheap bastard intake mod, got everything back together, except I have one hose left over :P It is also now pitch black out, and I have to work first thing in the morning. That is why I ask if it is needed. Also I really hate taking the airbox out!!

Thanks

A pic would help. There's like six hoses over there. Most can be bended and forced on without removing the airbox.

sorry for not being more clear.

On the actual Driver Side of the airbox, not on the back but on the right. Their is only one hose on that side.

Thanks

It vents to the atmosphere. Not a problem to leave it without a hose.

so then the hose that connects their I just connect to the air box and the other end to nothing? That would explain a lot if that is the situation.

on the stock air box, there should be one hose in the front, right side that is connect to the air box to nothing. That should be normal. If that is the hose you are talking about.

That hose extends under the airbox, and creates a resonance tube to reduce the air pump intake pulses. Removing the hose gives mooing sound, though the cheap bastard mod also allows the moo to occur (hearing it from underthe box with the new hole...
