Question Where can i find this?

Ive got my new engine in and I want to start cleaning/assembling it before i put it in. But i cant find the god damn bolts i need to get it on the engine stand.

What i need are the 10X1.25 bolts that go into where the tranny bolts up, but i need ones that are roughly 6 inches long so that they fit though the stands arms.

Ive checked two home depot's, sears, pep boys and autozone.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Mike

I bought mine at advanced auto parts. You could also bolt the engine to the stand using the studs and nuts on the front plate. Just depend on how much your looking to do.

Find a good hardware store, maybe Ace or something. Those little stores often have a much better bolts supply than Home Depot, which has tons of English but only a tiny selection of metric.

McMaster-Carr or Graingers, they seem to have just about everything needed to build just about anything.

ace hardware is usually pretty good... but probably won't have long metric bolts like what you're looking for...

a farm supply store would probably be a good bet, there was a place in our area that someone mentioned a while ago that was supposed to have just about anything that you could need, I just can't remember who mentioned it

Home Depot carries those bolts. (At least the one near me did). Or you can order them here:
