Question When removing the front struts on a FD..

When removing the front struts on a FD did you guys remove the "abs speed sensor"?? And did you unbolt the front sway bar end links?

I am putting new springs on my car, I did the backs and they were a peice of cake. But what's the easiest way to get the front ones out? I already unbolted the shock from the inner-fender and the lower a-arm, so the shock is free, just need to know what to remove to get the things out the easiest. Thanks in advance.

I think I did remove the abs speed sensor but I didn't unbolt the sway bar end links. They were pretty easy. Just about as easy as the rears. I think you have to disconnect the upper control arms. Go to scuderiaciriani.com. It should be pretty clear.

I don't recall removing the ABS speed sensor from the spindle. And I don't recall having to unbolt the front anti-sway bar links too.

I do however recall disconnecting the ABS cable from the upper A-arm and removing the upper A-arm so I can pivot the shock out from the top and remove it at that angle.

Don't forget to unclip the brake line from the shock body as well.

Good luck.

It's best to remove the ABS sensor when removing the struts because you will have to disconnect the upper A-arm and you don't want the loose spindle to hang by the speed sensor harness. It's only one 10mm bolt anyway .

Yeah I know I lost one of them. Pulled the wires right out of it. The wires have connectors on them so I am going to try to just re plug in the wires, if this doesn't work then not sure what I'll do.

Removing the upper a-arms was the easiest way to get them out.
