Question When is a good idea to upgrade fuel?

I have a m2 downpipe, jic catback, m2 flywheel, act extreme clutch. Apexi intake is on the way.

I have a PFC with commander
(still learning just got it) and a greddy profec B thats on the way.

I want to get my radiator pullys and intercooler.

I was just wondering when you guys would recommend upgrading fuel. I figured when I wanted to increase boost to 14 psi is when I would do it. Right before I get my intercooler.

I run between 10-12 pounds now. Is this safe logic or am I doing something wrong?

Lightbulb

There are people here on the forum pushing 350+ rwhp on the stock injectors. I would say that unless you are in that range, you are fine.

That depends on your fuel pressure. Unless you have a fuel pressure gauge installed you won't really know.

Take a look at this thread:

Look for a post from RTS3GEN and take a look at his mod list.

Also I believe Don't Be a Rikki is also running stock injectors as well. Not sure, hopefully he'll chime in on your thread.

Most or all have a fuel pump and some have larger injectors.

Your fuel pump needs to be "adequate" for the flow and pressure you are running. Unless your current pump is inadequate, a bigger pump won't on its own increase the amount of fuel delivered. But, the stock pump is inadequate for 350 RWHP. The most I have heard of anyone getting on the dyno with the stock pump is 340 RWHP, and I think that was an exceptionally good pump/setup (lots of battery voltage, clean fuel filter, etc.).

Symptoms of an inadequate fuel pump are that the pressure drops off at high boost and high RPM. When the pressure drops, the injectors deliver less fuel for a given duty cycle. The pump just needs to be good enough to maintain the regulator-set pressure under those conditions.

Hes got fuel pump and redid his injectors. I am not worried about buying these things. I was just wondering at what point of my moding I should do this.

Is their certain mods that must be used after you upgrade fuel. For example before I get a mid pipe.
After intake cb, dp.....

I want to get a better pump and injectors I just dont want to get them if I dont need em...

thanks for all the help...

They aren't redone, they were just cleaned and balanced by Pettit. They are still stock injectors (he's running a Pettit ECU which cannot deal with larger/more injectors very well).
