enkeis are ok, but i think they're a little heavy. i personally like SSRs or Volks but they can get expensive. I think for 17s you'll probably need 235/45 and for 18s 235/40. not sure what offsets you'll need. i'm sure other threads can give you specifics.

Enkei's are not heavy at all. depends which wheel you are talking about. Considering you're in the Bay Area you'll want to come to our shop. We highly specialize in rotary products and especially wheels and suspension. I know everything about wheels with regards to the FD. Fitments, weights, all the good stuff. Plus you get great club pricing.

Forget wheelmax, you won't get any consultation or customer support.

I run Enkeis for race on all my 7's. First the RP01 and now the RPM2. RPM2 is only 16lbs. Enkei's tuning line of wheels is amongst the top casting quality in Japan. RE Amemiya uses the NT03 on their car for track.

Enkei does have that FWD line of wheels which are not always made in Japan. so long as you get complete info you'll be cool.

BTW, those are the knockoff cheap Enkei's. You want these ones:

Get at least 18" x 8.5"
And if you can get them
Staggered. (wider rims in rear)

Don't worry about weight.
Thats what stock rims are for.
Save the $$ to make your car
faster.

Good luck

I agree w/ white rx-7. The staggered look is awesome on the rx! The offset should be between +40 to +45 for an 18x8 front and +38 to +45 for a 18x9 rear. I would lean more towards the +45 for the front so you don't have to deal w/ fender rub which sucks. I would recommend 225 40 18 on the front and 275 35 18 for the rear. Check out pictures of my car with this type of set up. www.barefootcarpetsinc.com/newrx

imho, you definately don't want to go w/ the 17x7 no matter how cheap... 7 is way way way too skinny!

no, unfortunately it is not yet lowered.... I'm working on getting coilovers, but there is a list of a few mods preceding it....
