Apex"i N1 Dual Exhaust?

Does anybody have any experience with this exhaust? Apex'i N1 Dual. I am leaning toward buying one because I like the tunability of this catback. I can buy two silencers, one for each tip. It can be run with both silencers in for max back pressure, one silencer in for a little less, or both out for maximum flow. Also does anyone know about sound and performance? Thanks alot!

I am running this exhaust and it is louder than hell. Right now I am using it with a midpipe, but before I was using a hi-flow cat and it wasn't too bad. In my case the silencers help, but not a whole lot. I am keeping it because I like the flow and look of it, but I can't say I like the sound too much. It is a little tinny sounding and like I said just louder than hell. One of my friends can here me coming about 4 blocks away while he is inside his house!!!

Talking

It is very loud.

I added a Borla xR-1 Sportsman muffler to my MP to keep my neighbors and the cops happy, but they still complain.

I like the sound. No droning when cruising, loud in the morning when idling, very very loud under WOT.

My gf can hear me from over a mile away when I am accelerating hard.

i have one on my car and i love the sound. right now i have a pettit dp and the stock kat. id was a little bit really loud when i had the mp on the car too. and it seemd to backfire and spit flames alot w/ the full exaust. if your gonna use a dp and a mp i would recommend the n1 single. the other downfall of the n1 dual is that i had a problem w. the tips touching the black plastic on the bottom of the bumper. that thing gets pretty hot so it melted some of the plastic onto the tip on the right. still havnt figured out how to get it off w/o scratching the pipe

Very nice exhaust...
It melted the black plastic.
I have been thinking a way to remove it is by driving really hard, so the exhaust become really hot.
And stop...keep it running. and use something to pickup the melted plastic away.

It actually did a good job in molding the plastic to double buble curved on top of the exhaust...

FWIW, it was voted the worst sounding exhaust system in a poll i posted a while ago, and i personally think this exhaust sytem sounds rediculous (and NO, not because it is loud). an FD with an Apex N1 or N1 Dual exhuast system has got to be one of the worst sounding exhaust note i can think of for any car.

There seems to be alot of differences in opinion here. I used to have a Apex'i GT Series catback but it was damaged in an accident when my car was rearended. How does the N1 Dual compare to the the GT series as far as sound goes. I did not mind the sound of the GT. I do still have my stock cat with Pettit DP though. The GT was a little loud but I live out in the country in the middle of no ware. People in rural Pa. do not mind loud cars. Most of them have old 60's and 70's muscle cars. Do the silencers help at all with tone ect.

I saw a vid once with a car that was running the N1 dual. It sounded really high and buzzy. However, I am using the N1 single and I think it sounds great. Can't wait until I get a midpipe!

It sounds ok, and it is loud relatively. With my stock twins, random tech hi-flow cat, dp, and silencers in both tips, it sounded a tiny bit higher then the Blitz Nurspec I had, and was acceptable in terms of loudness. A little on the louder side, but still acceptable to these sensitive ears hehe.

After I p/u my car this past Monday with my Apexi single turbo its MUCH louder, and higher in pitch. Too much so, and I have to sell it for fear of attracting every cop in the county. I'm looking at the RB as that I hear its one of the quietest.

I can imagine that it would sound breath-taking behind three rotors though.

I have a TRUST/GReddy off road 4" mid pipe and Cat back.

I usually keep a bottle of Bayer in the car and a bottle of water... still worth it though.. my horn does not work anymore but I don't need it.. ha ha ha .. just blip the throttle and everyone knows I'm there from 10 cars behind.

Greddy is one of the better. But I heard nothing but good things about Raicing beat single.

I would go with the HKS Carbon Ti Exhaust b/c it looks awesome. But I've heard great things about the Apex'i Gt Spec.
IMO the N1 doesn't do the 7 justice. Its too high and buzzy.

I have the HKS Titanium Exhaust with the 3" HKS downpipe.
In terms of sound: Get some earplugs
In terms of looks: Looks like no other
In terms of quality: Not a problem so far

Hopefull RX7 Rage can back me up, maybe some pics too

went fromo Greddy P.E. to N1 dual to RB dual

First exhaust I put on the car was a greddy power extreme. Pretty nice and quiet exhaust with huge *** 4inch piping. Didn't care for the bigass in your face can and 5" tip. Went for an N1dual... and I thought it sounded decent and much more aggressive. Too loud as a daily driver though. My buddy traded me for his Racing Beat dual tip. Much quieter... but still audible... very deep and smoother sounding. Not as much stacatto as the N1 dual. One thing I must say though... the N1 in 1st gear, full throttle is the meanest sounding SOB out there. Lots of heads turn (some in with a frightened expression) when I use to gun it in first with the N1's. BTW downpipe and stock cat. Overall, it really is a matter of personal preference. I still prefer the RB dual tip for daily driving IMO.
