Wheel stud replacement

I broke two of my studs on one of my front wheels and one on the rear. Does anyone have any advise for installing new ones? Do I need to take the hub off? Where should I get a replacement? Thanks.

The front studs are a little easier to change than the rear. You can hammer out the old ones in front from hitting them towards the middle of the vehicle and you can install new studs by tightening a lug nut up against several washers until the stud is fully seated. The only way I know how to do the rear is to remove the hub.

I Have Spare Studs

Due to incorrect ordering on some H&R spacers I bought, I have a full set of H&R studs. PM me next week, after Tuesday, if you want them, and I'll work up a price. I already have ARP extended wheel studs on my car, so I never needed them.

Unfortunately I’m almost certain you’ll need to order up a replacement wheel bearing for the rear hub. As I recall the bearing had to be removed to access the rear of the hub and remove my broken stud. But the rear bearing is a split-race design and there’s no way to press it out/remove it without destroying it.
The axle splines are likely to have some corrosion and will fight you coming out of the hub. The FSM says to put the old axle bolt on flush with the end of the axle and use a brass hammer. It didn’t budge for me. There’s a dimple in the center of the outer tip of the axle. Leaving the nut on, I used the blunted tip of an air chisel on that dimple and it gave way pretty easy. I put it back on with a bit of antiseize.

IMO you’ll need a Press…at least for the rear bearing. And since it’s costing you a wheel bearing…personally I’d replace all 5 of the rear studs
