The reason it costs so much, is beacause its made by THE MAN, RE Amemiya. He is known in Japan for his knowledge of the rotary. He is the biggest tuner in Japan for them, and he competes in the JGTC series with FD's. If he says it can handle 33psi, it probablly can.

$3200 for any well built rotory engine is not a lot, unless you are on a tight budget. A crappy Mazda stock rebuild will cost you over $2500 today.

unless im mistaken the stock seals can handle something like 31 or 30 psi with the proper tuning. He didn't specify what gas needs to be used to push 32psi.

Godzilla T-78 has one in his new project.

Sounds freaking mean, and he revs to 9K + frequently, and built 11psi reving in nuetral with the stock turbos. Not sure if they are poor mans or full non- seq.

But, my point is the ports are just great.
Ask him about it.

Just ask the guy the specs on it.....does it have new rotor housings? Are the irons lapped or new or just reused old ones? Is everything interenal besides the 3mm seal stock oem? If not what is it? Does it have some oil pressure mods? Does it have additional dowel pinning? Has that spacific engine's parts been balanced together?

You get the idea, just ask the guy about it. Is there any proof that its a RE engine or the 0 miles? For all you know if could be a Mazda reman with 20K miles that you can buy here for $1000.

There are people running 30+ psi of boost on stock oem Mazda 2mm seals. The fact that its "good for 33psi" is a waist of breath and all advertising in my opinion. You could do that with a Mazda reman and a port job....so what. You just have to learn to tune. I mean, they are talking 33psi on 116 octane race gas not some 98 RON cause it cant be done with 98RON.......did they say how long it would last at 33psi? 1/4 miles, 2 miles, 100K miles?

Does it have any warrenty? If so, how will that be handled you going to send it back to Japan?

STEPHEN

Stephen, repeat after me... Specific. Waste. Warranty.

Rajeev... 11 psi in neutral with stock turbos? Very impressive, since boost is dependent on load...
