Why is this so amazing? These motors arent that un-reliable when they are cared for and close to stock. My FD's motor was still running strong at 147,000k before I decided to do a rebuild before something went.

81 GSL driven 20k. Lost engine at 150k due to over heating.
84 GSL driven 60k. Lost engine at 140k due to carbon lock.
91 Vert driven 75k. Rear rotor lost compression at 144k.
94 Touring driven 30k. Has 94k on the orginal engine. Soon to be replaced with a 20b.

Total rotary miles= 185k

1987 GXL Sold after less than 100 miles
1991 Bought w/60K sold at 101K
1993 Bought w/77K totalled at 83K due to engine fire
1994 PEP Bought w/66K still going at 78K

Man i loved that car!
1993 FD bought it with at 58,000 with a 0 mile Factory reman and a rebuilt trans. 5,500 so far....

171,500 total rotary miles
