very weird start up problem??
hey guys.. my rotor starts weird all of a sudden. Sometimes it refuses to crank over.. i have to turn the key a few times before it does, sometimes over 10 times!!!
ive replaced the ignitor and its still the same. WHen it does crank it starts first go so its not the battery.
my engine bay has a engine grounding kit so i dont think its that.

i dont think its the starter.. well from my limited knowledge.. its more like no power getting to the starter to turn it over..
there is absolutely no noise when i turn the key.. when it does crank the engine fires up instantly

Clutch switch.
Look that up in a search, you'll see tons of owners with the same problem.
I have it too
Replace your clutch switch and it will go away.
Sometimes I get in the car, turn the key, and nothing happens. Try again and again, nothing.
I pump my foot back and then down again on the clutch, and viola! It works.
It will always eventually work, but until you replace the clutch switch (not expensive to fix I believe), just be sure as you retry you attempt to let go of the clutch and then push it back in (engaging the switch) again and again...

Yea. like I said I have the same problem and that's definitely the issue, based on what I read and the symptoms.
Too lazy to fix it just yet, but also do a search for more details on parts you may need.
Kind of funny when my friends (mostly girls) are like WOW nice car, they get in, are in aww of the interior, and then I go to start it and its like "Kachunk" (from the key/ignition movement) and they're like "whats wrong?"
Heh.

I just noticed, the "Dot" next to my name is red. Is this from negative rep points or whatnot? The only negativity I can foresee is when I express that I don't appreciate bastardizing body kits or non-flipup lights on the FD :P.
Other than that I'm usually giving my innocent .02 and trying to help out like here.
