You talking to me?

No, there was no room for a scattershield and the McLeod "blowproof" universal bellhousing adds too much length, which would require modifying the firewall or moving the engine forward. I went with a McLeod hydraulic T/O bearing conversion kit (LS1-style) and an '86-'92 F-body Street Twin dual disc clutch (one piece rear main seal) instead... which are currently sitting in their boxes on my living room floor.

Nice... I wasn't sure if you did it up before deciding to go with the V8.

Since you probably did some research for it do you have any of it? Links maybe? Or is it just going to be a custom job to get a scattershield done. Having my toes/feet taken off is a scary thought.

My first post:

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...threadid=15749

I wasn't flamed too much. I was a little naive back then, but after looking at that TII I spent 3 years researching and finally got an fd this year.

The funny thing is, Josepi is the guy who actually bought the car, and in the thread he is telling me NOT to buy the car and lowball the seller. He just wanted it for himself.

Mine was along the line of, "Weird smell at start up." I was getting the smell of burning plastic or candle during start up along with a bit of smoke. They tried to scare me and told me it was my engine and coolant can be described as "burnt candle" smell blah blah blah. When I had my exhaust installed, I found it be a melting plastic bag that somehow got caught under the exhaust pipe and the smoke was just normal condensation.

I think my first one was asking what "DP" stood for
I don't feel like looking at my actual first post.

That's funny! My first post was thanking the people on the forum for having so much good info. As it turns out, I actually did search before I spoke, even as a newb.

Still a newb here

First thread I started: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hreadid=290474

And as for the question being stupid or not, if you can't find it searching, you don't know the answer, and you think some of the people here might be able to help you out I'd ask it. Its much more stupid to just go around wondering what the answer is. Heck, even if you get flamed on the thread and get the answer you still learned something.
