Idle Control Solenoid....
Ok i unplug the solenoid and the car idles perfectly at about 1000 RPM right where i want it. But when i plug the damn thing in it idles sporadically, it does idle around where I set it at in the PFC though, just really rough.
I lengthened that particular connector and am not sure if i have the right wires on the right side... would that cause a problem...
Should i just block the damn thing off and live without one? I have the blockoff plate anyway, have had it for years now

If you unplug your idle control solenoid, your car should shut off...mine does every time I unplug it. For me to get the car to idle without the solenoid, I have to turn the throttle screw on the front of the throttle body.

BOOOYAHHHH!
i had a jacked up idle when my air bleed screw was allowing way tomuch air in, i guess the ICS couldnt compinsate enough for it?!?!? anyhow i tightened it all the way down and worked backwards from there.. evtentually ( after about 20 mins ) of adjusting i got the car to idle smooooth, minus the normal FD hiccups at idle.

it could also be that the PFC needs to relearn/recalibrate the idle. I just did that yesterday and it made a huge difference.
To recalibrate idle with PFC,
1. start car and let run for 10 minutes with all accessories off. Pop the hood up to help heat escape.
2. turn on a/c on any fan speed setting and let run another 10 minutes
3. turn off a/c and turn on rear defroster and let run for 10 minutes
my idle is a lot better now. It seems to surge occasionally when I come to a light, but otherwise it starts up fine and idles smooth. also feels better at part throttle.

Do the PFC idle recal instead of spending 2 weeks troubleshooting a non-existant problem. Trust me, I know.
You may think the PFC shouldn't *need* it done, but you'll be surprised.
Also, if the car is idling at 1krpm with the ISC unplugged, then your air bleed screw is cranked way open.
The car will not idle at all with the ISC closed and the air-bleed near shut.
With it being very open, it's reducing the ability of the ISC to control the idle - essentially having it fight the manual air opening.
Turn it almost all the way closed, then reconnect ISC, and do PFC idle recal (30 mins).
