Depends on how bad it is slipping. I would say the car is capable of a real high 12 without it slipping.

A slipping clutch can explode, bad idea to race it IMHO.

A stock clutch and a lot of mods are what got JimLab started on workin' on his FD with 4K miles.

The problem is when you have a clutch that slips "just a little" with mods is that it actually still has a decent amount of clamping force. That means it'll produce a lot of heat when it slips. That heat can cause stuff to fail. If the clutch fails when your running WOT the rev limiter won't do any good...

IMO..

WHY even bother doing WOT 1/4 runs with a
slipping clutch?? Bad idea..
Not only is it bad for the car. There is no way
to get good/accurate #'s...
Ask yourself. Is it even worth it???

I can see all the RIKKI's licking their chops
waiting to pounce on your FD3S, after them
watching you run 15's 16's 17's. Hahaha.
Gonna give FD3S a bad name.. People watching
wont know you have a bad clutch.

If I was you.. I would wait, replace yoru clutch
then go have fun..

In addition to what that guy was saying about messing the clutch up worse... You can over rev your if it is sliping bad and as you said "assuming you are a bad driver". Dont take it out if the clutch is bad, nothing good can come of it including your 1/4 mile time. Jesse
