What will I run?

I drive a 93 fd R1 and I have a downpipe and I gutted my cats and I was wondering what I would run in the 1/4 mile? What would I run if I got a mbc as well? Thanks a ton!

well I got my launches good and I'm running some pretty sticky tires but they are just street not drags, what do you think it'd be if I got a mbc?

If you intend to blow your engine, then running no cats and an FCD will be very fast. I'll bet under 10s. But I think you don't want to coast thru the trap.

It seems you're a little off-track with modding this car. What boost are you seeing right now? What ECU? What fuel pump and injectors? What boost control?

You spelled rotor wrong. We'd need a boost setting to judge your power. Try to use the search button some. R1 is a suspension and trim package and for all intents and purposes shouldnt have any signifigant bearing on your 1/4 mile time. R2 means its a 94 or 95 "r1". Remember to search.

you might want to read dgessman's post again. Your asking for a blown engine with gutted cats and no engine/fuel/and boost management. A fcd won't do anything for your safety.

Perhaps spend a few hours doing some research before asking any more questions. The FAQ has reams of information.

An MBC and an FCD are not where you start with this car - it is not a Supra.

Well I would say you will do the 8th of the mile in 6s and then blow your engine. So the 4th in well forever, maybe 4 months.

Seriously, the FD is fast but if you want to enjoy it make the supporting mods and use it on a track.

After installing the mbcfcd, I'd say to fix your blown motor, it will run you about $8,000 given the high mileage on your car and the fact that you'll need lots of incidentals, such as motor mounts, clutch, fuel injs, mop lines etc.

In the 1/4, at only 8 psi you will be lucky to get a low 14.

Oh, and if you're running only 8 psi with gutted cats, you have a problem with your stock turbo system .
