What to take out?

hey all.

i was wondering what things other owners took out of their fd's to make them faster and easier to manage maintenance upon?

Go to this website and check out this ast they have I think its one of the better looking ones on the market. http://fighters-garage.com/rx7.html Or you can just remove it all together for a couple bucks...

gawd....don't tell us you are one of those fan-bois that thinks if you strip the car down by taking out the power steering and a/c and all the sound deadening and you save all of wow!...100 pounds you are suddenly going to 'go faster'?
Go ahead and ruin the value of the car, if you want. You won't go any 'faster'...except in debt....lol!

How is he going to get into debt by removing things from his car. I also don't think it will affect the value of the car unless he starts getting crazy and cutting things.

The old R1 I removed the ac, changed stock exhaust from downpipe to muffler, replaced stock seats with aftermarket ones, went nonsequential, changed airbox out, went to a relocated mini battery, the list goes on and on. Making it lighter went hand in hand with making it faster by having supporting upgrades. The car is already pretty light...you can't change too much to make it lighter.

Maintenance is getting a good tune, be sure to get good gas, change plugs and oil regular, change fuel filter regular.
