What is supposed to go here? *Picture*

I bought a FD in pretty rough shape. I pulled off the center console and look what I found.

What exactly is supposed to cover the shifter/under the console from the elements?

yes the lower most important one uses those...themn there are two more that look identicle to each other that go over it...I can't remember the part numbers off the top of my head...do a search for shifter boot or something like that...

also dowload the FSM (factory service manual) above. It has all of the install instructions.

Also, do a search for Ray at Malloy Mazda. he knows parts for our cars off the top of his head and provides good prices .

and DAMN!! who took the crowbar to the edges??? And what's wrong with your transmission. I don't every remember the shifter being able to move that far.

Yeah, I read that one. He's actually looking for the boot that goes between the shifter and the transmision from what it sounds.

I don't know. It scares me. When I bought the car I found evidence of a rather large FMIC and there was a GReddy single turbo manifold in it.

Who knows what the previoud owner did with it... I bought it at an Insurance Auction.

No, what I ment (in my previous post) was the boot that is at the base of the shifter, where it enters the top of the transmission. I am not looking for that piece.
