What resonated MP would you recommend?

I have heard the smaller diameter resonated MP and have not been to impressed with the noise levels dropping much.......

But I came across the RX7Store.net midpipe with what seems to be a SS muffler.......

This one seems to be the one that might do the trick on deepening the tone and reducing the sound........

Has anyone bought this one or one that is similar with happy results?

My CB is the www.powertone.com tips.....

Batman,

I have heard 4 different cars from mild to wild setups and the Pettit resonated MP sounded great and worked even better. I would recommend that one. Also, if you care I'll be ordering that one as well. IMHO that pipe is probably one of the best on the market. The RX7store pipe looks like it might restrict flow just a bit. Just my .02 though. Could be wrong, it's happened before.

Hmmm, why not get a high-flow cat? The sound pressure difference will be about the same as a resonated midpipe, and you can stay emissions legal?

But a Borla XR-1 on any old mp. I would think the one the store sells would be good as well.

the midpipe replaces the cat section. . . the catback replaces the area behind the catalytic converter section.

if you remove the cat you wont pass emissions.

www.vrsexhaust.com - my friend has their resonated midpipe and it's quiet and flow is excellent.

All I can say is I have a Pettit resonated midpipe and a Pettit cat-back with a 5.25 tip and the sound is awesome. Much better than my brother's straight mid-pipe and cat-back. My car does not sound like the freakin rotary. If you like that high pitched sound then fine. I like the sound of a V8. The only time my exhaust sounds like crap is when the wastegate opens.

Jason,

From the camera angle the resonator looks like it will catch on a speed bump....... My car is pretty low.

Could you take a pic from the side so I can get a good idea of what it looks like?

Does this hang lower then the main cat? I assume that it fits without any rubbing?
