It's so difficult to answer this because it all depends on what mods the Viper has. You have to figure that if someone has the money for a viper that they have money for some extensive mods. A stock GTS Viper (2002) model runs 0-60 in 3.9sec and runs the 1/4 mile in 12.0 sec with a trap speed of a 122mph.

That being said, I know someone who beat a GTS Viper in his 500rwhp vert, he is running a T-70 turbo.

If you go single turbo (around 400+rwhp on pump gas at 14psi), street or race ported engine, and all the other supporting mods. You should beat a stock GTS Viper. But you always have to be prepared that a lot of Viper owners are just as crazy as we are with our FD's. So I would expect most Vipers are NOT stock, and are probably pushing closer to 600-800rwhp.

Simply put GT42R with race gas!

Are you implying that Vipers suck at handling? Despite being large and slightly on the heavy side, they handle amazingly well. I don't see an FD having a handling advantage over a Viper on a road course.

well im just looking at it from a physics standpoint with all things being equal other than weight. Well mass for that matter. I dont know exactly but im going to guess at least a 500lb mass difference between the 2 with the viper having the larger. Something with more mass will have more intertia therefore will have a greater resistance to changing direction of motion. Now i dont know exactly if a 500lb difference would be considered negligable but just on paper there seems to be some advantage. Not that i know how well a viper handles personally to be perfectly honesty its all in theory for me. Now in practice it might be more different but i can't claim that cuz then i'd be bullshiting.

One answer, go with Scoot's Quad rotor n/a. =)
estimated 500hp at 11,000 rpm. Sounds like an F1, what more can you expect =)

i have heard about that 4 rotor. expensive!!!! I would rather build the one i got or go get a ls1 build it with a slp402 kit and put a 300 shot on their and hold on for dear life. The new 06 srt 10 stats from road & track are
3630lbs
510hp 535lbs-ft
0-60 4.2
1/4 12.3
lateral accel .97g
Yes this car is fast but i believe it is very attainable. It is almost 1,000 heavier than my car. I weighd my car with me in it with a full tank of gas and was at 2880. I will do some cruching of the numbers and see what i need to get through the quater at that kind of speed. Let us not forget that the rx7 was hittin right at the 13.9 to 14.0 mark with only 215 whp from the factory that is not to shabby in my book.
