well the SRT10 viper has approx 500 flywheel HP, and weighs 3385lbs, which is roughly 0.148 hp/lb, the FD has 255hp and weighs 2800lbs, which is roughly 0.091hp/lb.

If you have an FD with 420hp, thats 0.15hp/lb, which added with the extra revs we have to play with over the viper should be more than enough to smoke him.

mods needed for this.... a mildy street ported FD with a SMIC and stock twins running uprated boost and a PFC might just be able to scrape it.

^ That would be a nice place to start. BTW I have a lightly modded FD and I toyed with a SRT10 on the interstate last weekend. I didnt have a shot against the viper, but then a M3 saw us playing and decided to join in on the fun. I tore him a new a$$h01e! hehe

ANYWHO, Start with letting us know what you have.

Ugh, you're going to melt those twins and blow your motor running 14 psi through a stock IC (and untuned, no less!).

Regardless, you do not have enough to hang with an SRT-10 or later GTS/RT-10 cars. You might have enough to keep the race interesting with an early RT-10.

Newer Vipers trap 119+, almost no one has done that on stock twins, let alone with a stock-ported motor.

Honestly, who would get "embarrased" by losing to a Viper? So what?

you did not read corectly it is tuned but not to the fullest exctent to where i think it could be. Once i get the other two parts on that i need i am going to get it fully tuned. I don't run the car hard at all. Really i haven't raced at all nor taken it above 5,000 rpms. Just so i don't have any problems why my clutch is getting broke in and i am running without my new intercooler. Now their is no reason to get get all loud about it i am new to these cars and i am wondering what could be done with the twins on this car. It does not bother me if i have to work a whole tone of ovetime to be able to buy a single kit that will do it. i was wondering if it could be done with the twins on their. If not let me be educated on what i would need to do this that is all. I am learning about a car i have never really heard nothing about. You give me a ta or camaro or any of those i could tell ya but with these cars i am clueless. So just let me hear what you guys have learned from owning these cars and learning and empart in me this rotary wisdom that i have not totaly grasped yet.

And you're not going to get a grand summation of rotary knowledge in your one little thread here. Instead of expecting everything to be spoon-fed to you, how about doing some research on your own?

I had a viper ride up against me, his only mod was straight pipes, ahh I coudlnt even hear my self breath yet alone my engine that has a custom 4" apexi gt spec exhaust. Anyways, we hit it at 80 and he actually spins his tires at 80mph and hands me my ***. Put a smile on my face to hear it wot, and besides a 50k gts should be able to beat a 15k rx7. The torque is amazing on those cars and it is one of the few cars I dont mind loosing to. Although my car only had intake dp and cb I would think you would need to go single, full street port, fmic, tune etc to hang with a gts yet alone a srt-10.

Don't know how credible this website is, but here's a video of what's said to be a non-sequential stock turbo FD:

http://www.wrex-racing.com/video/rx7/1098_121mph.avi

The other supporting mods are unknown, as far as the website seems to indicate...

talked to the shop who has been doing the work. For around 8 to 10,000 for the car to have enough power to ride up in the viper range. port job, single set up. rails, injectors and a new clutch and i should be right around where i need to be. not to bad just alot of overtime in the budget for this year.
