What material to use
I have a 93 base and just installed the M2 airbox. There is a small square opening now in the plastic material in front of the IC. I had to remove the large plastic piece that covered it up (plastic piece spans the width of the car) because of the airbox.
I was wondering what everyone did to cover that piece up to keep airflow thru the intercooler?

sorry... had to be said...
I'm going to be installing an M2 cold air box soon myself and was thinking about putting a pretty large, even bead of silicone around the edge, letting it cure for a little while, then mounting an aluminum plate over the top of it held down by sheet metal screws or something similar...
at least until I get a new intercooler and duct...
