What happens when i put to much oil? experiencing lots of smoke

i have some oil leak somewhere near the turbo but i could not see it. I check from under the car behing the d.p. and could see a lil oil driping.

The funny thing is that oil will not leak during idle, but when i press the gas to 3000rpm and up, it would start leaking. smokes comes out from the exhaust as well, but like i have said only above 3000rpm. WTF??

can to much oil do this?

its normal for the turbos to leak alittle, but as for smoking above 3k rpm. id say your turbos are on the way out.

i had a similar situation, everywhere i went for about 3 months, i left little oil drips everywhere i parked.. i figgured i had some kind of leak but wasnt sure, i could never find its origin. mine would also smoke after i let off after wide open throttle. turns out my turbos were gone, and they took out the engine on theyre way out too. good luck, i suggest you check for play in the compressor wheel. if it shakes around like a spoon in a garbage disposal then theyre probably bad. hope this helps

if your high on oil, then let alittle out, and see if it fixes the problem

The turbo's are fine, compressor wheel are good.
Im just confused why it would smoke only above 3000 rpm?

update: i've drain some of the oil and the problem still exist. So i took the y pipe and found out that the turbo oil lines were not tight enought! But it still burn oil when i pass 3000rpm!?!?

My engine and turbo are still stock!! it only has around 82,000 km and i can verify that the turbo are still good.

How does the turbo turns bad when it have been sitting for a while??

too much oil and the oil will find its way to leak around the motor. i suggest checking your dip stick when filling up your oil. i put around 3 3/4's quarts when i do my oil changes since there is oil in the turbos still.

if you read my post i just put my turbo back because i was doing the hose job and other stuff

to check if i have to much oil or not, i start the engine until operating temp and shut it off. Check the dipstick after 5-10 minutes. its says full... I did drain some of the oil... no change!?!

It may not be your problem, but if there is too much oil in the engine, it will find its' way into the intake via the oil filler neck/PCV system. It may take some time to clean itself out after you lower the oil level. This is also the route of oil loss racers notice on the track (not drag, roadracing). Hard cornering causes it to slosh up into the filler neck. The fix is a "catch tank".
