what else to do when doing hose job?

My search yielded the fact that while everything is apart for the hose job I should consider:

1) replacing FPD
2) getting injectors cleaned & balanced
3) replacing injector insulators & o-rings
4) replacing coolant lines
5) replacing engine wiring harnes

First, is there anything I am missing?

Second, my car has 21k miles and runs very strong right now (I don't want to screw anything up), so should I really replace stuff that seems to be working?

I figure I can inspect some of these things before replacing them, but I want to order anything that should definitely be replaced so I have all the materials (and downtime is minimized).

My goal is to bulletproof the car, so I like to err on the side of caution.

Thanks for any advice.

with 21k miles on it you should still be ok. if you wanted to do it now as preventative you could do that. you might also want to replace the intake manifold gaskets and throttlebody gaskets. then engine wiring harness is really expensive for a new one. and a bich and a half to change. also make sure all the recalls are done. some of the recalls call for replacing some of the gaskets and a few fuel lines too

Leave the engine wiring harness alone. Since your car is a '93, you may have paper gaskets. If so, replace them with the new metal ones along with a thin layer of gasket sealer.

haha . I just thought it might be useful to see my mods, even though they are pretty basic.

Ok, so I'll forget about the engine wiring harness for now. I will check the recalls since I have a feeling they haven't been done (previous owner had no idea there were any recalls). Are the gaskets that JONSKI mentioned the ones that the recall was for?

Thanks alot guys.

any more suggestions...

Save the money you would spend on a wiring harness and get an aluminum radiator/AST.

With 21K miles, you might want to just secure the stock hoses, rather than replace them with silicone...
