what effects using m2 ecu non-CA for CA car?

found a good deal on one and also a good deal on a non CA pettit would this be a bad idea buying it for a CA car? pump gas here is 91 for premium

the only difference is the EGR. I have run my Pettit on 91 @ 12 psi with no problems

Wouldn't be dangerous (as far is blowing the engine).

should i buy it? and im sure i need a boost controller too, ive spent alot of money on the rebuild and port and if i get the ecu im running down my cash, any suggestions on where to find a cheap setup for boost controller?

My suggestion:

1. Spend the money on a good boost controller like the GReddy Profec right now.

2. Next, wait on the ECU until you have decided what you want to do with your car and what's the component for the job. It may turn out the M2 ECU will fit your needs, it may turn out it won't. However, don't just "get something" just to "get something".
