Are you talking about the 1/2 inch hose that goes from just before the throttle body to the back side of the intake manifold? It's right near the firewall? That's for the AWS (accelerated warmup system).

If you are NOT talking about that but are instead looking at a rubber with metal in the center section hose... that goes from passenger side of the upper intake manifold, along the firewall, and then to the brake booster... that is for the power assist on your brakes.

i was refering to the hose that is about 1 inch diameter and that hooks to the back of the air intake box and goes around the back of the engine, sorry for not being more specific. there is one for the bov one for the crv valve and one for the air pump, then one that goes around back. the other two are the big ones for the turbo air intakes, i was jsut curious what the mystery hose that goes around back of the engine does, thanks. scott

You have 2 that come from BoV's (Officially CRV's). Both connect to the Y-pipe at different spots. Then you have the other two you mention (airpump and hard pipe connected to the Lower intake manifold.

hope this helps,

Dan

It is part of the ACV (Air Control Valve) system
