What does this hold?

Its been a long time since my car has been together. Can someone help me out and tell me what this bracket here holds. Is it throttle stuff? Do I need this? Putting single turbo on. Thanks

ok, for some unknown reason I can't post my pic up here so I'll have to use this one. The bracket I am talking about is right in front of the coils. Right next to the oil filler neck. Thanks guys.

Dude,

- Next time use some program to circle what you are talking about. Like this

#1
Those little metal nipples just go THROUGH the intake, they don't go INTO it!!! HAHA! No need to block those off, I've seen guys just cut them off flush, or twist them with pliers and they usually pull right out.

#2 If this is what you speak of, it is the brace that holds the front UIM/TB. Really not necessary, ran mine without anything there for years, finally bolted it down a few months back.

Check out www.iluvmyrx7.com for their section with the factory manuals, much easier than posting a question every time you are lost.

I was talking about #2. Thanks. I have everything polsihed in my engine bay, including all visible brackets. Is this part visible when the uim and TB are installed. If it is I will be eliminating it since I didn't have that one done. Thanks guys

I didn't clean it. The parts were repainted last rebuild and I've made sure to keep them clean from oil whenever I'm down in it.
