What do you guys think about the MSD box???
Does anyone have any probs with the MSD ignition boxes? How well do they work? I know the best set up would be to use 3 but how would just running 1 for the leading be?
Does it also need to be ran with msd coils? Will it fry the stock coils or is it safe to run with stock coils?
Thanks guys,
STEPHEN

Stephen,
You can run just the MSD digital 6 to leading coil for now. Thats what I'm doin till I can get the money for the DIS 2 and yes, you can used it on stock coils.

Thanks Gordon, thats not a bad idea.
What do you think about this. I was thinking of getting the extremely small N'tech or similar battery but keeping it in the stock location then using the rest of the battery tray for the Digital 6 and I'm thinking of relocating my stock coils there as well. I'm thinking all the heat and lack of airflow in the stock location cant be good for them.
I can drill a hole in the bottom of the battery tray and runn all the wires thru it, with the top of the tray in place you wouldnt even be able to tell anything was in there!!!!
I'm going to need some measurment to see if everything will fit.
Anyone know the size of a MSD digital 6????
Thanks,
STEPHEN

They (and soon to be me) are using the MSD digital 6 ignition amp box. There are some guys running Crane but I cant think of who right now.
Most people run the amp boxes to be stronger spark. When you run a rich a/f ratio its hard on the ignition to burn it. Running a amp just helps with this task by giving the ignition more juice.

fart on a friends head!!!
in the instructions you are told to use a larger gauge wire if extending it. . . and to solder it. i have the wiring diagram for an fd using stock coils and a digital 6 (faxed from msd) if anybody wants it.
