what to do w/ this hose??
i just made the custom heat shield from damian's template. i am waiting for the filters to arrive. as i was looking at things i noticed some hoses that i am not sure what to do with. i have my air pump unplugged so i guess i should plug up the pipe that is on the air pump. but there is another hose that i am not sure what to do with. it is the one the goes from a metal pipe next to the y-pipe to the intake to the right of the secondary turbo intake pipe (it is about 1 foot long and right on top). should i cap it or let it breath?
i have a pic but the forum is not letting me post it right now for some reason.

is this hose attached to something? If not, it probably was the one used to go to the little muffler in the air box to reduce the sound of the air pump return
i am just want to be sure because i dont want to plug up something that i am not supposed to.

if it's the line i think, you can leave it unplugged, it is the return line, since you don't have the air pump anymore.
even better, plug them both at the metal pipe, you'll be sure nothing gets in there

If you mean about the hose next to the intake, metal one, Then that hose has to have a filter or some kind of small reducer inside. It will make a horrible Mooing noise unless you put some kind of reducer inside.
What i did was, i got a small pipe maybe 1/2 inch long that was pluged up on both sides and i just drilled very small hole mayb like 1/8 or 1/4 not sure. Then i put that in the hose and connected it to a filter. That way you don't get mooing noise and it works fine.

my 2cents as a newbie
when the previous owner pulled the stock air box and fitted hks dome foam filters the extra black 1 inch pipe that normally runs into the air box was left free
it is now capped with a black plastic unti with hks stamped on it, looks like a not return brather valve to me, but i haven't played with it at all
just to the right of the yellow airfilter
