I was looking on ebay at some of the rx7s and I noticed that some of them said that they had Turbo F1 engine in them, how is that different than the original twin turbo engine?

Some Tachometers redline at 7k and some at 8k, is that aspecific to the year of the car or what?

 

most likely, the F1 = FI (fuel injection)

automatic FDs redline at 7k rpm, manuals at 8k rpm (the automatic Mazda borrowed from the MPV minivan isn't quite up to 8k rpm antics.... )

 

Or the FI could be there way of saying forced induction.

 

yea all 3rd gens had the same 255 twin turbo rotary

 

Either that or their FD has an F1 jet engine in it??
