What can I make

I know this sounds stupid, but money isn't coming in real good right now, and I have some spare time. I was just wondering what I could make for the 3rd Gen that people would like to have? I mean something that isn't already being made. I have some skills in making things, even though most of those skills are in woodwork. But I was just wondering if there was anything people would like to have that could be made? Don't say stuff like Big Brake Kits or something like that, because that wouldn't work. Maybe this is just stupid but who knows.

How about brake ducts to fit the 99 spec front bumper or the Pettit 99 spec bumper?

is there anyway to make cf accents for the steering wheels?

My leather on the wheel is falling apart and I was wondering if there was anything I could do other then just get it we wrapped in leather.

If youve seen the Porsche 996 cf package on the wheel thats kinda what I mean

Alright, this could work. These would be ducts that flow air to the brakes correct?

Well, I don't really know how this would work? Not sure how I would do that.

Yes, they're basically black ducts. I have the Pettit 99 spec bumper but don't have the brake ducts. It looks okay but would look much better (more stock) with the ducts.

I know someone offers them but I would think this would something you could make (I'd be interested) less expensive than OEM ones.

Speaking of this, how about a metal plate to fit around the tail pipe? I've burned a hole in my bumper because of flames shooting out of the pipe (this has now been fixed although it was kind of cool at the time!). I'm looking for a metal plate, preferably powder coated black that could be attached around the tail pipe section of the bumper to dress up the area.

Ok, that could be done. How much would it have to cover? From the sides to the top? Problem with that is there are many differents types or exhausts and some would require different sizes?

What material would be used for this?

I think you'd probably use sheet metal for this and then paint/powder coat them.

No, they would all be the same size and would mount to the bumper above the exhaust to keep heat away. They'd also work to keep the oily residue off the car for those that run a bit on the rich side.
Check out this pic of my car:

See the section I circled in yellow above the exhaust (notice the piece of duct tape)? How about a metal braket that would cover this up and look cool? Maybe rivets on it? I know I'm after black for mine, but would think others might be interested in polished chrome.

Here is a good pic of where the brake ducts would go. As you can see, they would hide the oil cooler from view and would give the front end a nice stock look.

Something like this.

Or maybe mount it even lower.

That could be done, but doesn't that screw into the bumper? Don't know how many people would want something screwed into the bumper.

Well, you could make it, but I don't really see the point because Chuck at Rotary Extreme already makes that.

Well if someone already makes it then there is no use for me too I don't guess. Anything else I could do? I might could do the alternator relocation. I am reading all of those posts and looking at the pics.

Chuck makes the '99 spec brake ducting also.

Nice. You beat me to this Glass Man.
Just got this piece 2 weeks ago. Bought the car with that area melted. Fitment around my Racing Beat Dual Tip looks nice. But I haven't fastened it yet.

I have the rivit gun and aluminum rivits. Problem is I can only find bare aluminum rivits. Still looking for black rivits... ideas?
